Thank you to many of you for sending in next term’s fees and the 1000 for show to the accountant.

After Monday Dec 2nd we will open up slots to non-members. Non-members will pay new rates.

8am: Assemble at Sishya for Harry Potter performance in the auditorium!

Fees for A to Zee Creativity members will be unchanged for 2014. 

Please note: All children aged 8 and above will be put forward for the Trinity College Grade 1 exams next year - group exams Speech & Drama. If you have a reason why you would rather not do these we can discuss. All our students from this year got Distinctions or Merits.

Term fees  (mid-Jan - mid-April):
Original batch 5000 (max 20 students)
Pure Drama 3000 (max 20)
Zeebees 4000 (max 18)
Teens 5000 - (max 15) We plan for them to appear for Grade 6 Drama exams in 2014
(the UCAS points help with college entrances here and abroad)
Communication Skills 9000 (max 6 per batch) - All will be put forward for the individual (or pair) exams of Communication Skills. All our students from this year got Distinctions or Merits.

The new timings from Jan 2014 based on what most parents seem to approve of are as below:

Fridays: 
Communication Skills (8 years+ ) 3 - 4.30pm
Original Batch (8-12 year olds) 4.30 - 6.30pm (cooking some days 6.30-7.30pm)

Saturdays: 
Zeebees (4-7 year olds) 10am-12noon
Teen batch (Debate and Drama) 2.30-4.30pm

Mondays: 
Pure Drama (8 years+ ) 4.30-6pm
Communication Skills (8 years+ ) 6-7.30pm

As usual, all proceeds of this end of year show will go to charity - The Blue Cross of India.

After Dec 2nd we will open up to non-members. Non-members will pay new rates. 

Please feel free to tell any friends with children of appropriate ages - while we are happy to have the born performers, we actively encourage the shy children to join us, and enjoy watching them gain confidence.

Apologies - failed to update sooner...please see below additional rehearsal timings for the week ahead:

Thanks to those who have paid the fees and the 1000 towards show. Please send it to Mr.Ravi Chandran in the basement. Mon-Sat 10am - 5pm. Please take a receipt.

Looking ahead: Fees due, Membership, Changed timings...

Dear All,

Thank you for going along with the changed timings for a couple of terms.
By popular demand (not to mention family revolt) we will discontinue Sunday classes from next term.

Fees for Jan term are due by Monday December 2nd please.
Fees for A to Zee Creativity members will be unchanged for 2014.

All current students are requested to contribute Rs.1000 towards the venue hire (auditorium) plus additional lighting, sound system, mikes, people hire, transport hire costs, etc.

The new timings based on what most parents seem to approve of are as below:

Confirmed shows:
Friday 6th December 8.30am: Sishya (Harry Potter and poems)
Tue 10th December 9am: Sishya (Noddy and poems)
Fri 13th December 8.30am Sishya (As You Like It)

Friday 13th December: Booked Raja Ratnam Auditorium (400 seater!) for evening show of all of the above. 
Noddy plays first - short interval - Harry Potter - short interval - As You Like It.
5.30-8.30pm.


Those of our A to Zee students at other schools - please would you request 2 hours permission that morning? Do you need a letter from me or from Sishya requesting the same? Please let us know asap!

Friday 15 Nov 2013:

(Please make sure all the lines are learnt!)

5pm to 7pm: Pure Drama batch to join us please for a full rehearsal. These Friday rehearsals will run for the next 3 Fridays until the show.

(Rohan, Vikram, Parth, Siddhanth to join us for the rehearsal - v.important!) 

Manikandan and Prarthana too for dance at 5pm - the students not on stage can be learning the dance steps before we start the runthrough.

7pm: Home time for all!

No more cooking until after the show.

End of year rehearsals!

Dear all,

Here is the schedule for this weekend:

If your school is interested to have us do Noddy plays and/or Harry Potter and/or As You Like It at your school please do let me know and I will coordinate with them. We will be ready by the first week of December.

There would be no fee of course, but we would request lights and sound (and a stage...)
