Summer term (June-August 2012)

Hi All,

As promised here is the confirmed list to date for Fridays 3.30-6pm (8 years and above):

Aalia, Adam, Chahna, Dhrishan, Dhruv, Isra, Kyra Patel, Kyra Philip, Mahima, Muskan, Rahelle, Rishaa, Riyah, Rohan, Sadhvi, Samar, Tara.

(Will circulate the list for A to Zeebees separately. That class is Wednesdays for 4-7 year olds and is 4.30-6.30pm.)

FRIDAY SESSIONS - SUMMER TERM A TO ZEE - FROM JUNE 8TH 3.30PM-6.00PM.

Theatre: Rehearsals start for Sleeping Beauty and Harry Potter 2 - both for Christmas show (possibly more than one if we are invited by any schools to perform - like the Abacus show last year...feel free to mention at your schools). Would be good for the children to be able to perform the entire show more than just the once.

Poems: Tehzeeb will select appropriate poets/poems for this 8+ age group.

Singing: We will do songs from Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, and My Fair Lady.

Dance: We will do some tap dancing with Manikandan and Prarthana to go with some of the musical numbers, and possibly some ballet/waltzing for Sleeping Beauty.

Woodwork: The children will build on the skills they have grown somewhat comfortable with this term. Ravi Uncle has lots of exciting plans afoot...:)

Art: We have a new art instructor - Philip and possibly others - who will take Art using their newly made easels! :) We have Chuckle Bumble aprons which the children can use...:)

And that's it folks!

Term ends with Sishya term...end August 2012.

Winter term of A to Zee begins mid-September 2012.

Take care,

Shaan

A to Zee Creativity Summer Camp April 2012 - A few requests

A to Zee Creativity Summer Camp April 2012 - A few requests

Dear all,

Just to say we are looking forward to seeing the children tomorrow Monday 23rd April 2012.

If they have workmen's goggles for woodwork do label and send along. If not, don't worry.

If you have an empty clean glass jar (longish. like an olive jar, we could do with a couple...for an experiment we are doing...)

Please note: The children are to enter the wicket gate of Apt One and wait on the verandah there. An adult should wait with them until 10 am when one of us will escort the children upstairs.

Outside maids/drivers are not permitted inside the house. Parents are of course absolutely fine - and you can bring them up to level 2 if it is after 10am and the others have already gone up.

If children sent with maids/drivers arrive later than 10am: They should go upstairs slowly to the second floor (follow the noise). They are not to use the lift on their own. One of my parents' maids will probably be around to help show them where to go.

Similarly, at 4pm maids/drivers should assemble near that verandah of Apt one, and the children will be handed over to them one by one. There is no use if the driver waits on the road - I will not send the child to the road. He has to come to the verandah by 4pm.

Parents - once again - if you are coming to fetch just come on up - even if you are early it's fine - so long as you don't mind waiting a bit.

If you see any maid or driver trying to enter please say that my parents don't want it - they should not worry I will escort all remaining children downstairs soon after 4pm.

Take care,

Shaan

4.30pm-4.40pm:Snack (made by this week's little cooks (Riyah, Saniya, Muskan, and of course Adam & Zai)!  Feather sponge muffins and a birthday cake for Saniya (early March birthday) - went down well - the rest of the A to Zee kids gave good feedback.
