SCHEDULE THIS WEEK:

Hello,

The CPR course is in the morning tomorrow Saturday (10am-1pm)...then Rehearsal from 2pm-3pm (Sleeping Beauty) and 3pm-5pm (Harry Potter). Thanks to those who sent their contributions and to those who sponsored larger amounts. There are only a few children who still need to pay Rs.1000 towards the show - pls do this tomorrow.

Here is the final week's schedule. Some of the children are still very tentative about their lines and they don't know when to say the lines - please practice with them at home - it has to be quick and tight else there will be awkward pauses on stage - not at all pleasant for anyone. The more thorough they are with lines the more they can enjoy the acting part of it instead of worrying about the next line.

Please put all other activities on the back burner this week - next week as you know we have 3 shows and the children need to rehearse lots this coming week. Even if one child misses a rehearsal it throws the others and makes it a half-baked rehearsal.

Schedule for next week below:

Take care,

Shaan

A to Zeebees Poems - Summer 2012

Hello,

In case you have the time and energy to revise these through the week, here are the poems the children have done so far with Tehzeeb Katari:

RAIN

Rain on the green grass,
Rain on the tree,
Rain on the rooftops
But not on me.

                 Cats Sleep Anywhere

Cats sleep
Anywhere,
Any table
Any chair,
Top of piano,
Window ledge,
In the middle,
On the edge,
Open drawer,
Empty shoe,
Anybody's lap will do,
Fitted in a
Cardboard box,
In the cupboard
With your clothes--
Anywhere!
They don't care!
Cats sleep
Anywhere.

Cat on Window Ledge

Cat on Dresser

Cat on Grannie's Lap

Eleanor Farjeon

Has Anybody Seen My Mouse?

Has anybody seen my mouse?
Little Brown Mouse
I opened his box for half a minute,
Just to make sure he was really in it,
And while I was looking, he jumped outside!
I tried to catch him, I tried, I tried....
I think he's somewhere about the house.
Has anyone seen my mouse?

Little Brown Mouse
Uncle John, have you seen my mouse?

Just a small sort of mouse, a dear little brown one,
He came from the country, he wasn't a town one,
So he'll feel all lonely in a Chennai street;
Why, what could he possibly find to eat?
He must be somewhere. I'll ask Aunt Shaan:
Have you seen a mouse with a woffelly snout?
He's just got out...

Hasn't anybody seen my mouse?
Little Brown Mouse

RAIN

A bullfrog sat on a lily pad, looking at the sky.
He fell right off that lily pad, and got water in his eye.

A peanut sat on a railroad track, it's heart was all a-flutter.
Along came the 5:05 - Oops! peanut butter.

A cow walked on the railroad track, the train was coming fast.
The train got off the railroad track to let the cow go past!

Humpty Dumpty fell right down and landed on his head,
So, all the horses and the men had scrambled eggs and bread.

6.00pm: Home time

Session Six will take place on Saturday 21st July instead of Friday...time: 1.45pm-4pm includes

showing of the film 'The Sound of Music'. Popcorn will be served.

Reason: Shaan is in a play at the Alliance Francaise on July 18, 19, 20, 21 from 7-9pm.

This is why a Friday evening class will be difficult on the 20th.

Do attend and tell your friends too - since there is no A to Zee and no school the next day, try to come on Friday 20th July! :)
Under 18s not permitted.
