We are very pleased to welcome Craig Jenkins, a British story teller brought to our attention by Chandni Khanna of Hippocampus.

We have invited Craig Jenkins to entertain our A to Zee students of all batches. Do attend if you can. 4-5pm on Friday 23rd August - that is this Friday.

We will do it downstairs on rugs in the plaza or else in the gym.

Please fetch the Zeebees by 5pm as the Original batch will continue with their regular class until 6.30pm.

Things they are a changing...at A to Zee Creativity!

Thanks very much for your feedback on possible new timings. We will try this out, and would like to know how it is working for you - do let me know towards the end of this term?

Considering A to Zee? Quick SMS us for a free trial class before this term ends so that we can meet you and you can meet us! We are especially keen on some more teenagers!

Here are the new timings effective this week. This term ends at the end of August. Please will existing students settle next term's fees before this date? - in the basement office with Mr.Ravichandran the accountant. He has a list of all current students.

After this date existing students won't get priority any more - any past or new students can join until the batch is full. Next term: 13 Sep - 13 Dec 2013. 

Batches:  

Originals  (8-12 year-olds) have moved to Fridays 4-6.30pm;  Class size 20 max; Term fees: 5000/-

Zeebees (4-7 year-olds) have moved to Saturdays 4.30-6.30pm; Class size 18 max; Term fees 4000/-

Teens (13-17 yrs) have moved to Sundays 10am-12noon; Class size 15 max; Term fees 5000/-

Communication Skills: Monday class remains unchanged 6-7.30pm; Class size 6 max; Term fees 9000/- 

The other Communication Skills class has moved to Friday 2.30-4pm; Class size 6 max; Term fees 9000/- 

New class: 'Pure Drama' Mondays 4.30-6pm (ages 8 and above) Class size 20 max; Term fees: 3000/-

• Students can opt to do as many of the above as they would like to (unless the classes are full)
• Pls note: the Pure Drama class will NOT have woodwork, dance, singing, art, origami, cooking, etc. It will consist of acting skills, play writing, and poetry.
• All batches will participate in the term end shows - to display some facet of what they have done this term.

To make up for today, the class will be on Monday from 3-5pm. If your child has school and has to get here slightly earlier or slightly later - that is fine - but please do send him/her.

We will be doing: Play rehearsals, poetry, and singing.
We are now working towards the end of year show.

Fees are due for next term. Fees must be paid by Friday 30th August at the latest - please scroll down to see further details.

After this date we will take in new chidren and cap the numbers as usual.

Does your child want to be bumped up into the teen group? They are doing a Shakespeare play and debate. Do let me know...we have only 6 in that batch and need a few more! Anyone aged 12+ is fine.

Here is the plan for this Friday & Saturday:

Please note, fees are now due for next term (4k Zeebees, 5k the rest). The accountant is in the basement Mon-Sat 10am-5.30pm. Parents of new students have begun calling, and as usual existing students get priority, but only until the end of this term (i.e. end August).

Sishya has School Day rehearsal all morning, and since most of the children
are from Sishya I'm afraid we will have to defer this.

As far as I know there is no Saturday afternoon rehearsal for Sishya School Day (?)
So, the afternoon session remains unchanged at 1.45pm - 4pm.

No cooking/theatre/singing - am away at a course tomorrow. 

Creative Teens cancelled this week as the 10th Standard children have their exams. We resume next week.

Prarthana and Manikandan now have to just book their holiday...we have collected enough thanks to additional contributions from Rupa Gurunath,Aparna Jacob Philip, Preeti Jashani, Neha Ryan and Sara Kaiser.

• Astronomy Overnight Camp at Beach house in Kovalam Sat 4th July 2013 (Ages 8-13 only) Max 10 participants.

• Brownie workshop at Sandy’s! Date tbc

• Nature lovers camp: Trips to see wildlife, discussions from experts about recycling, composting, organic food, introduction to hydroponics, tree walks, junk art, renewable energy and more! (Ages 8 and above) 2^nd-6^th September 2013. 10am-4pm. Max 12

• Away camp to Jungle Retreat in December 2013 – details to follow. Max 8.

• We are currently in talks with some production houses, and photography and movie-making courses will be starting in the terms ahead for the older batches! - and how to act for the camera!

*Those who are ready with their plays could appear for the Trinity College London group Drama exam. This will involve a batch of further rehearsals, and an additional fee. Details anon.
